All About Me...
This is my 8th year at Bullard as elementary counselor. I have a total of 16 years experience in public education; 13 years as an elementary counselor and three years as an elementary teacher.
I have a Master's degree in education, specializing in Guidance and Counseling.
I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor, which means that I can practice as a counselor independently of the school system.
My top priority is being a friend and a support to the students. I absolutely love my job as counselor and love working with your children. My goal for them is to be the best they can be. If there is anything interfering with that, we will certainly work as a team to get them to the point where they can function as a healthy child emotionally and academically.
Please call me whenever you have a concern that you feel I can help out with.

Two major things I'll be involved with this year directly with your children are:
1) Building Strong Character
2) Bully-Proofing our School
With our character building program, we may begin a shift to involve more of the community over the next year or so in our emphasis on each "character trait."
Wouldn't it be grand if everywhere you went in Bullard in September, you saw or heard, or were reminded in some way about the importance of "Respect?"
Maybe you saw a poster at the grocery store, or maybe your Sunday School teacher mentioned it during the lesson, and most definitely Mrs. Williams is mentioning it during morning announcements at school, and Mrs. Moore is providing a character education lesson on it. All throughout the month, the teachers will be teaching and reinforcing the concept of respect.
That's our goal for the new and improved character education program. We may have fewer character traits throughout the year, but a deeper, greater emphasis on each!
Unfortunately, we see bullying as a major concern in schools today.
At our school we have a zero tolerance policy, but we feel a need to implement a school-wide program to do more to prevent bullying. This is something we will enlist parental involvement is as well.
You will hear more about both of these programs as they unfold.
