Homework Policy Vocabulary:  Your child will have vocabulary words each week that goes with our novel.  They will need to learn the definitions, synonyms and antonyms, as well as how to use them correctly in a sentence.  They will get their vocabulary words on Monday.  Please see the novel link for the current vocabulary list for this six weeks. Reading:  Your child is required to read 80 minutes at home each week.  Parents will need to sign off that this has been completed.  The reading log will be kept in their red reading folder.  They may read from books at home, library books or the passage they will have each week.  The passage will be tested on Friday. **If your child comes home with more homework than what is listed you may want to ask them what they are doing in class. Book Talks:  Each six weeks your child will need to be working on their project at home.  They will have six  weeks to complete each project.
